February 21, 2012 Summer is on our doorsteps, and in July Northern Sunrise County (NSC) and the M.D. of Smoky River (MDSR) are co-hosting the 2012 Agricultural Service Board (ASB) Summer Tour. The theme 'Peace Countyr Vigour -You'll Bee Back' is meant to exemplify our strong feelings about the advantages our people and climate give us, as well as making a honey of a play on the Beaver Indian Legend "Drink the water of the Peace River and you will return." The Tour will take place July 10 to 13th, 2012. Tour base will be the Nampa Complex. The opening evening on July 10th will feature performances by local artists. The evening of July 11th we will set up a 'Trade Show' of local businesses who would like to sell their locally made products to visitors from every corner of our Province. We are offering our local entrepreneurs' the opportunity to set up a table FREE of charge. But space is limited so people need to register early to assure themselves a spot. |
